OffMyChest Terms of Use
OffMyChest is a free app by Flow Apps where you post anonymous confessions and read other people's. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older.
Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Don't post:
- bullying, harassment, threats or hate against anyone
- names, photos, addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, schools or anything else that shows who someone is, you included
- sexual content involving anyone under 18, ever
- anything that encourages self-harm, violence or crime
- spam, ads, links, or anything you don't have the right to share
Breaking these rules gets your posts removed and your account banned. When several people report a post, the app hides it at once and we review it, usually within 24 hours.
Your posts
You keep the rights to what you write. By posting, you give Flow Apps free, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to show your post in the app and in OffMyChest's marketing, such as our social media, ads and App Store pages, without anything that says who wrote it. We may shorten a post or remove personal details from it for these uses. We never pick posts that could point to someone. If you delete a post in the app, we stop using it in our marketing and take it down from our social media. If a post in our marketing is about you and could point to you, email hello@flowapps.xyz and we'll look at it. You can delete your posts, or your whole account, in the app at any time.
Anonymous, not lawless
Your account is anonymous: it has no name, email or phone number. We still remove posts and ban accounts that break these terms, and we answer valid legal requests as the law requires.
Not a help line
OffMyChest isn't therapy or an emergency service. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call your local emergency number, or find a free, confidential help line at findahelpline.com.
The app as it is
We work hard to keep OffMyChest running and safe, but we offer it as it is, without guarantees, as far as the law allows. Posts are written by the people who use the app, not by us, and don't reflect our views. Two exceptions: OffMyChest posts the question of the day under its own name, and to get things started, we wrote some of the first posts ourselves and gave them their first hearts.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and tell you in the app about big changes.
